The Economy

Just in Time for the economy

Just in time for the economy as it hits new lows, is a chance for people to take back a financial part of their lives for a change. This is a time it seems, that people are wondering if things will continue to worsen or get better. I’ve just written this blog and I think that you’ll find it very interesting to see. But, do not take my word for it, take a look for yourself and see what it’s all about and then you can make your own informed opinions about it. However, I will tell you that in this day and time, it is hard to find a company that is not leveraged to the hilt or downsizing. This company is not only 100% debt free, but is actually expanding and growing in size on a continual basis. Should we count on the government for assistance or make change ourselves? That is the question on a lot of people’s minds as we head into the New Year. It seems that a lot of people have come to rely on the government too heavily for direction. If there is something that bothers them they look to the government for change. I say it is time to take action on an individual basis, and see where life can take us. You see, the only thing that separate’s success from failure is simply the determination to develop and grow ourselves. Then take the steps necessary to ensure our success. A lot of people are so eager to make money online that they jump right in without the proper preparation or planning. Of course, before getting started in any other profession there are a lot of things you have to learn (at least if you want to stay in that field for any length of time) ? and the same is true of internet marketing. Preparation is everything.
While working in internet marketing is certainly a lot more pleasant than putting up with a long commute on choked highways or crowded trains only to go to the same cubicle day after day and making money for someone else, you still need to know what you're doing if you want to be successful in internet marketing

Affiliate Force

I've been told by a number of managers of HUGE affiliate programs that 95% of their sales come from their top 25 (or fewer affiliates). When you consider the fact that some affiliate programs have thousands, even tens of thousands of affiliates, that's actually pretty sad!
The fact is that most affiliates join an affiliate program, and then do nothing. Why is that. It's generally because being a great affiliate marketer can be hard WORK.
Even the top producing affiliates are not big fans of hard work. They often have insider techniques that they use but don't discuss with anyone.
So how does an affiliate program manager energize his affiliate force?
Since affiliates don't like hard work, the obvious answer is to make it easy for them. You do this by providing easy to use tools. For example, if you could have your affiliates just share a video with their lists and website visitors, that's really easy. Often, they'll use a tool like this or a branded PDF file, when they wouldn't use other tools. Part of the reason they'd do that is that often their list members enjoy these info product and don't seem to notice that they're being sold.
Video works so beautifully because the prospect isn't even require to do any WORK. They just sit and watch. We're all conditioned to watch television and movies. However, many of us have grown to hate reading... it's too much like work, and reminds us of when we were in school, and often had burdensome reading loads. That would get a lot more of the hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of affiliates on your team, actually out promoting your products.

2) You have to make your affiliates feel special. Giving them a video to distribute that has their url embedded accomplishes that. With Camtasia, the video will play, and at the end of the video, deliver your affiliate's prospect right to the sales page or order form.
4) You need to give your affiliates the tools that they prefer to use. This sometimes differs but video is really hot these days. It's hot with your affiliates' customers too, because they don't have to work... they just sit and watch, and buy :-)

SEO Tip #2: Optimize Your 404 Page and Always Be Found "Error 404: Page Not Found" is a blessing that most Webmasters curse. Why? Getting a visitor on any page of your site is fantastic! Don't blow the opportunity. Not only can you make your "404" page a valuable sales tool, you can use the following search engine optimization techniques to attract customers in droves.
A.) Use your main keyword in your title, add a "pipe" (usually above the Enter key) and then use your secondary keyword. Here's as example for an SEO site "SEO - Search Engine Optimization Tips"
B.) Add some keyword rich content using one to two keywords for the page. If you have less than 250 words on the page, just use one keyword and use it no more than three times total. Bold the first use and italicize the second or third use. Keep in mind this is an "inactive" page so simply tell the visitor what your site is about and whet their appetite with a good description. Something like this works well... "Thank you for visiting SEO (bold) Group, Inc. We are sorry you landed on a missing page but don't worry, if you're looking for the very best search engine optimizations tips (bold), you're at the right place..." This will go on for a couple paragraphs or as long as you'd like then end it with something to the effect of "Please Click Here (link) to visit our site map or click any link to the left."
C.) Add your site's standard navigation system (bar, column, etc.) as mentioned above.
D.) Make the look and feel of the customized 404 page match your main site as closely as possible with a template, matched palette, cascading style sheets, etc. E.) Create a link to the site map page if available, and make the link easy to find. You want your visitor off the 404 page and into your main content as quickly as possible. Setting up a custom 404 page link usually takes less than five minutes on most major Web hosting companies like Godaddy.com. But whatever it takes, it's worth the effort.
SEO Tip #3: Get (Even More) Serious About Linking
I saved the most important for last. If you want to do well on any search engine, especially Google, linking is THE single MOST important thing you can do. It's that simple.
Here are the five things you MUST do to make your site #1 on Google:
A.) Find the highest page rank sites linking to your site AND your competitors' sites.
B.) Run monthly link campaigns and snatch up the best of the above identified Web sites.
C.) Run regular checks on what pages are still linking back to your site. Alsomake sure they did not move you from a high page rank page to a lower one (don't get cheated!)
D.) Eliminate any penalized sites you link to; ASAP! E.) Check your search engine ranking AND your competitor's for each of your keywords every week. Do this, at the minimum, for Google, Yahoo, MSN and Alta Vista.
